By accessing or using the Rentfree platform (Platform), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Rentfree platform and define the rights, responsibilities, and limits that apply to all users.
2. Platform Role
Rentfree LTD operates solely as a digital marketplace that facilitates connections between property seekers, landlords, and real estate agents.
All transactions and interactions are conducted solely between users at their own discretion and risk.
- Is not a licensed estate agent, broker, or property manager
- Does not own, manage, or control listed properties
- Is not a party to any transaction between users
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
To use the Platform, you must be at least eighteen (18) years old and provide accurate, complete, and current information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities conducted under your account.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. Rentfree enforces a one-user-one-account policy. Creating multiple accounts or using false identities is prohibited.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to engage in misuse of the Platform, including but not limited to the following activities:
- Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Impersonating any person or entity
- Uploading unlawful, abusive, or harmful content
- Using the Platform for illegal activities
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Scraping, copying, or exploiting platform data without permission
5. Property Listings and Compliance
Agents and landlords must ensure all listings are accurate and not misleading, comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and possess valid licenses where required.
Users are responsible for verifying property condition, ownership or title, and legitimacy of agents.
Rentfree may display verification badges based on submitted documents. Such badges do not constitute a guarantee of authenticity or quality.
6. Payments and Premium Services
Rentfree may offer paid services such as listing boosts or premium placements.
These services are for increased visibility only and do not guarantee successful transactions.
All payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or in cases of proven service failure.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, software, and design, is the property of Rentfree LTD and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content, or use Rentfree branding without prior written consent.
8. User-Generated Content
By uploading content such as property images and descriptions, you retain ownership of your content while granting Rentfree LTD a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it for platform operation and promotion.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party rights.
9. Suspension and Termination
Rentfree reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts and remove listings or content where users breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or harmful behavior, or violate applicable laws.
We may take such action without prior notice where necessary.
10. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an as is and as available basis.
Rentfree does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of listings, availability or condition of properties, or behavior or reliability of users.
Users engage with the Platform at their own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rentfree LTD shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including financial loss arising from transactions between users, or fraud, misrepresentation, or disputes between users.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rentfree LTD from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
13. Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform without notice.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
